Porth Joke Beach

Porth Joke is a sandy beach sitting in an attractive cove. At low tide the cove reveals rock pools and caves and a narrow sandy beach. Porth Joke sits between the more popular beaches of Holywell Bay and Crantock.

Known locally as Polly Joke this unspoilt sandy beach can be an oasis of calm throughout the year, quiet and relatively little-known. Access to the beach is a little difficult via a rough path, and needs a little effort, but worth it once your there.

Porth Joke beach unfortunately does not have lifeguard cover during the year, so you have to take extra precaution if swimming here. Please be sure to observe the beach safety code.
