Mexico Towans Beach

Mexico Towans forms part of a glorious four miles crescent of golden sand that starts from the mouth of the Hayle estuary and reaches out to the lighthouse at Godrevy Point, this is collectively known as Hayle Beach. Mexico Towans is near the middle of the long Hayle beach and is backed by magnificent towans, taken from the Cornish language for 'sand dunes'.

This family friendly sandy beach offers excellent swimming and occasionally good surfing.

Mexico Towans beach has lifeguards during the summer months that patrol each and everyday, from morning till dusk, so you can feel very safe if you fancy a swim. Please be sure to observe the flags, and the beach safety code.
