Greenbank Cove Beach

Greenbank cove has a large area of sand which goes down to low water, but no beach at all at high water. This stretch of coastline between Gwithian and Portreath known as Reskajeage Downs have some of the most spectacular cliffs, these are over 250ft high. At low tide it is possible to walk between here and its neighbouring Basset's Cove.

Access to this cove, and its adjoining Deadmanís Cove is extremely difficult and should not be attempted by anyone that is not confident of negotiating the narrow and at times steep routes down to the beaches.

Where Greenbank Cove is sandy, Deadmanís Cove has a small area of sand which turns to rocky ledges and boulders at low water, and is much small

Greenbank Cove unfortunately does not have lifeguard cover during the year, so you have to take extra precaution if swimming here. Please be sure to observe the beach safety code.
