Crantock Beach

Crantock Beach lies on the entrance to the River Gannel estuary, has cliffs and rocks both sides and backs onto sand dunes, and a beautiful expanse of golden beach. Crantock beach forms part of the expanse of sand between Pentire and West Pentire headlands. The most popular area is next to the river at the northern end of the beach. The River Gannel is tidal and is a popular and ideal spot for families with sheltered bathing.

The beach produces good surf, and is ideal for all abilities.

Crantock beach has lifeguards during the summer months that patrol each and everyday, from morning till dusk, so you can feel very safe if you fancy a swim. Please be sure to observe the flags, and the beach safety code.
